I was on my way out,I seen the post,it sure make people be thankful to have their love ones close...I seen on the news not long ago about the "HERO ROAD" in Canada ,where people lines the street as the funeral processionwas passing,I think they say the whole town would turn out, every soldier that was from Canada, got the same treatment.Nite Nee
Thank you for the update...I was just wondering. I hope he is safe...as safe someone can be in an area like that.
On the funny side: We were in Penang, Malaysia a few years ago. 4 star hotel club for tourists. We booked a taxi plus driver for an extended one day trip/tour. He spoke very good English and was very talkative. During a lunch break in a lovelt restaurant he joined us proudly showing off his latest purchase: A stack of game-cards he had bought on the Internet. He showed us one card and said: "If I find this man the Americans will pay me one million dollars. So, if you have seen this man, you could tell me...!" We looked at the card and couldn't help but laugh: it was a picture of Osama Bin Laden. What armies of countless nations weren't able to achieve a little Malaysian cab-driver from Penang hoped to achieve - catching the bad guy and earning big money. Hilarious!
What a great story. You know what would be even funnier? If the little dude actually found ben ladin. What the best minds in the intelligence corps of so many countries, couldn't do.
It is. He was such an upbeat/positive guy who makes a living driving guests of the Sangri-la hotel around the whole day. He wanted to know everything about us and where he could find this man - he also owned the whole set of cards of the other wanted terrorists . Maybe all those agencies look in the wrong places. Maybe, one day, a simple man from a simple village will catch Bin Laden. Without the help of armies and high-tech equipment. Just relying on his common sense.
That is so touching. Afghanistan?
ReplyDeleteCanadian soldiers are still in the mountains of Afghanistan looking for Ben ladin
