Treating Thin Hair ---For Women

Oh,ye of little hair,do not despair.Although genetics may have a lot to do with it,there are many treatments and vitamins to coax your hair to be at it's best.

A strand of hair is made up of extruded, compacted dead cells.Everything you put in your body, eventually comes out in your hair, usually within three to six months.Similar to the growth rings on a tree, the strata of cells in a strand of hair paint a picture of where you've been, under what conditions and the state of your health.Obviously, if your health is good and your nutrition consists of only the best food and vitamin supplements,It will be reflected in the condition of your hair.
Each hair grows from a living follicle in your scalp. At the root of your hair all your major systems are at work.We all lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. That sounds like a lot doesn't it?Each hair grows about one half an inch a month.it will grow from two to six years then it rests for a period and then it falls out.At any given time,85% of your hair is growing and 15% is resting.

Thin hair can have many causes, genetics being the first that comes to mind.
It could also be caused by a hormonal imbalance, thyroid condition, iron deficiency, clogged follicles, fungal infestation, allergies and deficiency in other essential vitamins and minerals,to name only a few.

The most important treatment takes place on the inside. As usual, you are what you eat.All the B vitamins are essential to healthy hair.People with blood type A don't absorb Biotin well. This vitamin is absolutely necessary for a thick head of hair.Omega three fatty acids from fish oil,or a tablespoon of linseed oil,or flaxseed oil each day will help keep your hair sleek, smooth and healthy.Silica gel or liquid is a type of liquid calcium which will definitely thicken the hair(I personally recommend this remedy. It worked for me).Vitamins A,C,D,E,magnesium ,iron and zinc all help and some experts recommend manganese sulphate(25 grams for a few days). The herb Saw Palmetto can block testosterone in women which can make their hair fall out, although all women produce some testosterone.

Apparently chlorinated and flouridated water is very bad for your hair.It destroys the human growth hormone.Drink dechlorinated, bottled water.
What can you do for the outside of your hair?Make an apple cider vinegar rinse for your hair once a week(Do it at bed time.It smells pretty strong). This treatment clears clogged follicles which can kill your hair.Massage your scalp with aloe vera liquid or gel frequently.Use a protein based shampoo. It thickens the shaft with protein. The more you use it,the thicker it looks.

This fact is one I didn't know,Sleep deprivation can throw off your melatonin production which may affect your levels of human growth hormone. This hormone is important to hair growth. So,get your eight hours ladies,Your hair will appreciate it and at the very least you'll look well rested.Good luck my friends.
