SAN DIEGO -- A man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stopping at an accident site and stealing the purse of a pregnant woman who suffered fatal injuries in a rollover crash on Interstate 5 in Solana Beach, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
A witness told authorities a motorist in a Subaru station wagon briefly stopped at the crash scene and scooped up Yine Gonzalez's purse after it dropped onto the freeway early Sunday morning. According to a news release from the CHP, investigators were assisted by tips from the public which included a description of the vehicle and its license plate number.....(http://www.10news.com/news/18425447/detail.html)

  2. Agreed. The nerve to get out of the car and look for a purse in all the blood and debris instead of offering some help.

I don't won't to beleive we have fallen down so low, that he didn't offer help...I know it is true,a very sad state of affairs,I hope they catch the damn sorry "S.O.B." and stone his arse to death..A few minutes might mean the different between life and death.

  6. I think the guy will give her up eventually. The public pressure is just too big.
What a vile thing to do. People are animals - sometimes.

  7. What a prince. These examples are sure to inspire our children. At least witnesses helped bring him to a well deservedjustice.
Often, the witnesses are not keen on coming forward.

  8. True. But this case is different. It shocked everyone down here. The hit-and-run and the robbery.

  9. I just watched the Barbara walters/Patrick Swayze interview. How sad,you can see iminent death in his eyes.My dad died of the same thing five years ago.
If they could catch it early they could help more, but in the early stages there are no symptoms.
By the time it's discovered,it's usually too late.
    He's a very nice man.

  10. That poor lady ran into two world class ass-holes on the same day, literally(three if you count the woman who got away).

  12. She has a five-year old girl and a husband who survived with minor injuries.

I saw a trailer of the interview. Sawzye looks really bad. I was shocked. I think it won't be too long. As sad and as horrible that is.

  13. Pancreatic cancer is incurable. Doesn't matter when you catch it. It is one of the rare forms of cancer that there is no cure for.

  14. When they discovered Dad's pancreatic cancer, they gave him three months. He died in six weeks.
The problem is,that kind of cancer spreads to the other organs very quickly. The kidneys, gallbladder,
    stomach,and liver.In Dad's case,all were affected.
    I would think,in Patrick's case,it has spread by now.

  15. He's a very sweet man, married to the same woman for twenty something years, still devoted to each other. He keeps working. You gotta admire that.

  16. I think it most definitelty is, yes. And the meds also seem to have taken a toll on him. And that he still smokes doesn't help either.

    Did your father get theraphy?

  17. Although they have a treatment now,if they catch it early enough. They had not finished testing it when Dad got sick, and so they put him on morphine with a self administered pump, and left him at home with us.
He died in our arms.He was content to go.

  18. There is a combination-therapy (chemo plus stem-cells) which helps the patient to deal with the pain and raises the mediane survival rate from 3 months to 6 months (New England Journal of Medicine)

  19. Stem cells are becoming part of every therapy under the sun.We all have great hopes for stem cells and genetic alteration.

  20. Not to mention cloning organs.

  21. I think, with something as incurable as cancer people try everything to find a cure.
It is a valid alternative to chemo who can have very strong side-effecrs.
Often they use combination-regimen when the first-line therapies fail. It is kind of a last resort.

  22. A lot of people in Canada go to
cancer treatment centres now. They use a combination of traditional and naturopathic, homeopathic treatments. It is fairly successful.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That is good to hear. There are a few very famous cancer-treatment facilities in Germany who solely rely on traditional medicine. They have a very strong opinion where homopaethic medicine is concerned. Sloan-Kettenring is the most renowned cancer center in the US.
