s planning to marry his pregnant Russian girlfriend in a splashy Christmas wedding. The allulment was approved by Gibson's breakaway Catholic congreegation, and it isn't officially recognized by the Catholic church. Dispite that, the "Passiom of the Christ" star,53, is using it to set the stage for marring his lover, 39-year old Oksana Grigorieva,insiders say.
Cattholic bishops turned down Mel's request for an annulment. So his dad Hutton, the 90-year-old patriach of the family owned church, led a tribunal that annulled the marriage, a family insider divalged. Hutton Gibson presided over the hearing, and granted his son's annulment request after the Oscar winning actor presented "evidence" that the union was never a true marriage, even though he married Robyn in a Catholic ceremony in Austrailia in 1980, said the source.Especially important was Mel's description of how he felt pressured into the marriage in the first place because Robyn was pregnant. These felling indicated to Hutton that it couldn't have been a true marrige,so he felt it must be invalid. After the discussion ended, Hutton pounded his fist on the table and said, it is clear that this union did not have what it takes to be a true marriage!" The annulment is beening kept a secret , but Mel hopes that some of the bishops he has recently befriended can be presusaded to give him an official Catholic annulment.
Meanwhile, Robyn-- who has seven(7) children with Gibson and is battling for her share of his $1 billion fortune--is dating a new man and has distanced herself from the Gipson clan, said the source. Robyn doesn't want to have anything more to do with the Gipson's family's religious beliefs. Bizarrely, Hutton and Mel's siblings now refer to Robyn , calling her "Miss Moore" and not Mrs. Gipson, said the insider. Even though construction on the Holy Family chapel is almost complete, the congregation is dwindling. They want to have the church finished by Christmas for the big wedding. My take on this : Mel was pressured into marrying Robyn because she was pregnant.Was Mel also pressured into knocking Robyn up six(6) more times. I think he have lose his kids by Robyn..If it's true that the annulment is valid , do that mean that the children were born out of wedlock? Look out Mel, Oksana is giving orders to you now, she is a smart home-wrecker, she got pregnant and can get her cut without marrying you.
