Jaycee Dugard reunited with her mother, sister and another relative Thursday. They are at an undisclosed San Francisco Bay area hotel, and Dugard's stepfather Carl Probyn said Dugard is doing well under the circumstances.
"She looks very young, she looks very healthy," Probyn said on "The Early Show" on CBS. That is surprising but very good news. That being so, one hopes the children are also in good health.They were born in that squalid place without medical assistance and have never been to a doctor. I wonder what Gerrido would have done if one of those births had developed complications.

The neighbour who called authorities three years ago told police there were people living outside on Gerrido's property and also that Garrido was psychotic and had a sexual addiction. Rupf said the deputy who visited the home did not know Garrido was a registered sex offender, even though the Sheriff's Department had the information. The deputy issued a warning to Gerrido that it was against the law to have people living outside on the property but did not even walk around the back to investigate. Sloppy police work,no?

Garrido's father, Manuel Garrido, told The Associated Press Friday that his son is "absolutely out of his mind." He said Garrido fell in with a bad crowd when he was younger and started taking LSD.
The elder Garrido said the drugs changed him from a good boy, whom everybody loved, to a crazy person. (I think it takes more than LSD to develop a serial rapist, kidnapper and possible murderer.) Come to the party Manuel and take some licks for producing a monster.
Speaking by phone from his house in Brentwood, Manuel Garrido said he hasn't seen his son in years and has never been to the house where the encampment allegedly was set up. He said his ex-wife, Phillip Garrido's mother, has dementia and is not well. She also lived in the Antioch house with her monster son and his monster wife.Was she completely unaware of what went on in her own backyard? Maybe she assisted with the births.Who really knows?

And as for those two little girls , how many people believe that he's never laid a hand on either of them? One of them is fifteen. Her mother gave birth to her when she was fourteen. Remember this is a man with no principles or morals. He lives by no one's rules but his own. According to the police he may also be a serial killer of prostitutes. He thinks he deserves a break because, according to him, he has completely turned his life around. What do you think?
