Mass shooting San Bernardino

UPDATE
As many as three assailants, who carried long guns and wore masks, opened fire on a gathering of San Bernardino county employees around 11 a.m., sources and a witness told the Los Angeles Times.

A senior federal official who is monitoring the case said investigators believe one of the shooters left the party after getting into an argument and returned with one or two armed companions."


What we know so far:

At least 14 people are dead and 17 others injured in a shooting at the Inland Regional Center in *San Bernardino, Calif., Wednesday afternoon.

*Up to three gunmen opened fire inside the facility which serves people with developmental disabilities and fled in a dark SUV, police said.

*Lavinia Johnson, Inland Regional Center's executive director, told Reuters the shooting was at a conference center that was rented out for a county personnel holiday party, possibly to the San Bernardino Department of Health.T

*The gunmen were armed with long guns and were wearing what appeared to be ski masks and vests, witnesses said.

*A manhunt for the suspects is under way.

*“These were people who came prepared,” San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan told reporters. “They came in with a purpose, with an intent to do something.”

*FBI and ATF agents are working to clear the building. About 300 people have been evacuated, police said.

*Bomb technicians were called in to inspect a suspicious device.

*President Obama called for stricter gun control in the wake of the shootings.

*It is believed to be the deadliest mass shooting in the United States since Sandy Hook.
Live Report:
According to police scanner traffic, they are in pursuit of a dark SUV traveling at a high rate of speed. Shots have been fired at the police in pursuit. One person who fled the vehicle is in custody.
Reports of another suspect running on foot. Meanwhile, an armored police vehicle is moving in on the suspect vehicle. One person may still be in the alleged getaway car.

According to police radio, one officer may down after being hit by ricochet. Reports are the officer is injured, but ok.



Officers say one suspect is in the stopped black SUV and one is down outside the vehicle.
Police radio: One suspect laying in backseat, possibly injured, with an automatic rifle strapped to his chest.
The scene remains very active. Info to follow once available.

    This is so very heart breaking . Isn't ISIS and the terrorists killing us fast enough .
    I hate to turn on the news fear of another killing .
    It's no way their families are friends haven't notice a change in them .

    I appreciate the fix and I agree with what you said. The family is denying any knowledge of what they were doing. Someone must have noticed something.. They are saying is was a terrorist attack.
