While David is concerned about his job and his reputation, his main concern shold be repairing his marriage to wife Regina Lasko, and the mother of his son, Harry. A close friend of Regina says that what has "cut her to the bone" is the knowledge that if it wasn't for the alleged extortion, David wouldnt have ened the affair with " Birkitt. "Dave's cover was blown and it forced him to cut things off with Stephanie and to come clean to Regina says the friend, who says that Stephanie has been part of the family's life since 1996, when she was an intern for the "Late Show." Stephanie went on family vacations with them, she looked after their son, she came by the house, and she befriended Regina. There was a huge amount of trust involved, David would often call Regina and say he'd be working late with Stephanie, and she would think nothing nothing of it. But now the friend says , Regina's devasted.David knows that more may come out and there's nothing he can do to stop it. This could be the best thing to happen to their relationship, says Dr. Gilda Carle*. For the first time in their lives, they need to be truthful with each other as they've been before. My spin on this cheating crap: Dave has been a sex perdator long before he met "Regina", Dave had a long string of failed affairs. After his first marriage ended in 1977,he hooked up with Merrill Markoe, now 58, a fellow comedian and staffer of hos former NBC show, Late Night, they dated for a decade , and was briefly engaged. On October 2, the comic joked on her blog about Dave being unfaithful.Earlier this year, David admitted he bagan dating Regina in 1986, so it seems Dave cheated on Merrill with Regina ! My advice , if a man/woman cheat on the one they are with, you can bet your last dollar they will cheat on you.A leopard don't change his spots just because you bath him. So beware, leave the cheaters along , remember , if he cheat with you... hon , he will cheat on you. But hey, that's just me. Stay tune:
