Chilling Quotes

“We serial killers are your sons, we are your husbands, we are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow”
Do you feel it? That shudder going down your spine?
This is one of the creepiest quotes I’ve ever read. And it comes from the mind of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy.

Ted Bundy was a criminal psychopath. He raped, tortured and killed tens of women in the 1970s. The total number of his victims is still unknown. And while he confessed to murdering 30 women, experts estimate that the actual number goes as high as 100, and perhaps more!
The story of Ted Bundy is quite fascinating (I don’t know if fascinating is the right expression here). He was intelligent, well-educated and good looking. He managed to attract tens of women and lured them into his car, among other places, for he had a remarkable charisma.
Killing, for Ted Bundy, wasn’t about hate or revenge, although many of his victims looked somewhat like the love of his life whose break up left him devastated. For him, killing was about possession, he wanted to feel powerful, in control, and taking another life was his way to accomplish that. This thinking was obvious in both his words and actions. He would usually keep the heads of his victims in his house and even apply make up on them! Pictures for some of the women he killed were also found hanging on his wall and window!

He seems to have been proud of it. In one of his interviews, he said:
"You feel the last bit of breath leaving their body. You're looking into their eyes. A person in that situation is God!"
Intelligence was one of Ted’s advantage points. He had an estimated IQ of 113. He graduated with a degree of psychology from the University of Washington, this academic background clearly served him in committing his crimes. In fact, on one of his trials, he acted as his own lawyer. Later on that year, he escaped custody, and this wasn’t the only time, he did it again on another occasion.

This man was a master manipulator, sadistic, inhuman. Even his own lawyer described him as being "The very definition of heartless evil". Ironically, it seems that he himself also shared the same view. In one of the interrogations, he was recorded saying this:
"I'm the most cold-hearted son of a bitch you'll ever meet."
On January 24, 1989, Ted Bundy was executed by electric chair at the Florida State Prison. And while his life ended on that day, his story remained a source of fascination. It has been the inspiration for a number of movies and books ever since.
If you’re interested to know more about what goes in the mind of a mastermind criminal, I recommend this book:

"A clown can get away with murder."
At first, this quote may seem innocent and transparent. It essentially says, “Clowns can get away with more than a normal person because they are funny and innocent seeming.”
That is, until you realize who said it. This line was said by this man:

John Wayne Gacy.

Between the years of 1972 and 1978, Gacy captured, sexually assaulted, and murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men.
During the majority of this time, Gacy also performed as “Pogo the Clown”, a character he had devised, at children’s parties, fundraising events and more.
Because of these two things, John Wayne Gacy became known as “The Killer Clown.”
Knowing all of this, read the quote again:
"A clown can get away with murder."
Not so innocent anymore, is it?

"People will just believe you. You just tell them and they believe you"

Donald Trump

Words spoken by Donald Trump -  The 45th President of the United States of America.
Billy Bush, while discussing his encounters with the Donald back when he was the star of a highly rated TV show, The Apprentice, attributed this quote and also, “Grab’em by the pussy,” to Donald Trump.
"It occurred in another off-camera conversation — after I called him out for inflating his ratings": “People will just believe you. You just tell them and they believe you,
True enough, we all are witnesses to how then candidate ,now the leader of the free world lives by this quote to get what he wants. His book Art of the Deal resonates messages akin to this quote.
I think most people still do not get him. Trump can be funny, at times charming and occasionally, generous. To rule Donald Trump a racist is convenient (and partly true), he doesn’t seem to be concerned about your race as long as you have something he wants. At the same time, he wouldn’t hesitate using methods that are racially insensitive to achieve his goals.
There’s no question he’s a sexist. Although, pathological liar is his real character and he knows for sure he can get away with it. As a businessman, TV personality, leader and human being, this trait of his basically dictates his life and behavior. He also appears to be a coward disguised as a bully.
Now, if the person sitting in the highest office of the nation believes that a lie, told blatantly, is as good as the truth and that fact doesn’t ‘chill’ you, I can’t imagine what would.
History has not been kind to people in power who have similar traits.

"Don’t forget to show my head to the people. It’s well worth seeing."

Georges Danton

It’s 5th of April 1794. It is the execution day of one of the pioneers of French Revolution, Georges Danton. Danton who fails to catch up to the exponentially growing extremism of the Jacobin Club and it’s leaders (Robespierre, Marat etc.) finally falls out with them. Known for his down to earth and friendly character Danton does not advocate the Reign of Terror and the execution of Louis XVI like his contemporaries. This falling out with the Jacobin Club eventually leads to his accusation of betrayal to the cause of the Revolution. The accuser was of course the infamous Maximillien Robespierre, his former best friend.
Danton, a witty man he is, says these last, utterly chilling words to his executioner while being prepared for the Guilliotine .
By the way, his executioner complied with his request.

Chilling quotes, or more  accurately, predictions from the great prophet, Nostradamus

Prediction:
"From the depths of the West of Europe,
A young child will be born of poor people,
He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop;
His fame will increase towards the realm of the East.

Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers,
The greater part of the battlefield will be against Hister.
Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn,
When the child of Germany observes nothing."
Historical reality:
Adolf Hitler:
On April 20, 1889 Hitler was born in Austria to very poor parents.
Hitler moved Germany to action in the years following WW I, in part, (who by his tongue) through his powerful oratory skills.
(His fame will increase towards the realm of the East.) may be alluding to the Axis alliance with Japan in the East. (Hister may very well be a spelling error.)
The German Army invaded France (Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers) and the "greater battlefield" refers to the Allied Powers overcoming Hitler.

Prediction:
"Near the gates and within two cities
There will be scourges the like of which was never seen,
Famine within plague, people put out by steel,
Crying to the great immortal God for relief."
Historical reality:
The Atomic Bomb:
In August 1945, the US deployed 2 atomic weapons on 2 Japanese cities (within two cities) Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The suffering endured by those in the blast and the radiation poisoning suffered by those who escaped the immediate detonation (Crying to the great immortal God for relief).

This quote comes from a serial rapist, burglar and killer known as the Night Stalker or by his real name - Richard Ramirez. Victim count - 14 people.

“If there is a God, he will have to beg my forgiveness.”

A prisoner carved this phrase on the walls of a concentration camp.
While it is not known who wrote it, or where it was written, (probably Mauthausen), it’s sadly obvious what it means.
This person, presumably a Jew, has lost all hope. He/she has resigned him/herself to death.
For atheists, it’s a pretty strong argument in their favor: If there is a god, then why would he allow this?
If there is a god, or if there is not, this chilling quote symbolizes the loss of hope and the despair that eleven million people suffered during The Holocaust, mankind’s darkest moment.

“The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of a million is a statistic.”

Cryptic and  dispassionately chilling was Joseph Stalin’s remark to American ambassador Averill Harriman in 1945: “The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of a million is a statistic.”
During his career Stalin on his own terms was responsible for many statistics.
In the 1930s the Soviet state collectivised its farms. Another quote from Stalin in this period was,
“ In order to oust the 'kulaks' as a class, the resistance of this class must be smashed in open battle and it must be deprived of the productive sources of its existence and development. ... That is a turn towards the policy of eliminating the kulaks as a class.”
Smash them he did. Aleksander Solzhenitsyn estimates death from executions and famine as a result of collectivisation were more than 6 million people. Lev Kopelev, who later became a Soviet dissident, explained the conditions: “ It was excruciating to see and hear all of this. And even worse to take part in it. ... And I persuaded myself, explained to myself. I mustn't give in to debilitating pity. We were realizing historical necessity. We were performing our revolutionary duty. We were obtaining grain for the socialist fatherland.”
Stalin was responsible for the death of many other millions. His Great Purge of the latter 1930s killed another million including many leaders of the Red Army, which left the Soviet Union lacking sound leadership when Hitler invaded.
In the Katyn Forest, 22,000 Polish leaders were massacred .

Of the 170,000 German soldiers who surrendered at Stalingrad, only 6,000 survived to be repatriated. According to Soviet records altogether 381,067 German POWs died in Soviet custody. However, German historian Rüdiger Overmans maintains that it seems entirely plausible, while not provable, that one million died in Soviet custody.
