It’s a glizty city that attracts thousands of gamblers to its giant casinos. Now Las Vegas has another mega-attraction a spitting distance from Caesars Palace. The 55-storey High Roller is set to be the world’s largest Ferris wheel when it is hauled into place early next year.
Covered in 1,500 LED lights, it is 167.6m (550ft) high and 30m (100ft) taller than the London Eye.
Passenger capsules on the ride will take half an hour to complete a rotation and tickets will cost about $30. It is being built as part of a $550 million development by Caesars Entertainment.
Project director David Codiga said: ‘It’s going to be an icon. It’s going to be a part of your visit to Las Vegas if you ride it or not.’
