Well That Was Quick : Golden-Voice Ted Williams Heads To Rehab

Most insta-celebrities wait until after their 15 minutes is up before heading to rehab . Ted Williams is going before his clock had the chance to even start ticking .

The former homeless man-turned-overnight success story , who has been open about his battle with drug and alcohol addiction , is taking the first step toward putting his past behind him by agreeing to enter treatment ...and you'll never guess who helped him make that decision  ...
It's zeitgeist capitalist extraordinaire   Dr. Phil McGraw  !

"If Ted is ever going to get better , he's got to be honest with himself and admit he's addicted to drugs and alcohol ,"  McGraw said . "I've told him it's not going to be easy  and it's going to take a lot of hard work . It might be a long  journey  for him , but this is a big step in the right direction .

His family thinks so , to .
Larry Kirtley , the current husband of Williams ex-wife , Patricia , confrimed to E! News  that the golden-voice YouTube star made the decision to go to rehab after speaking  (on camera , of course) with Dr.Phil . "I'm happy that he is ," Larry said .  The information was pretty accurately mentioned on the Dr.Phil Show ," Kirtley added , noting that Ted's daily drinking was one of the points of contention discussed during the sitdown .

There's no word yet where  Williams will be seeking treatment , though according to the Dr.Phil show , it will be a private facility .

Jack Nicholson's Next Co-star : Viral Video Sensation Ted Williams   'OMG'
Ted williams' 15 minutes may take him to hollywood .
The homeless man whose golden voice  and plea for a job won the hearts of millions in a viral video , is reportly fielding an offer to appear in an upcoming movie opposite -- wait for it ...  Jack Nicholson  . And no , it's not a remake of the 'Bucket List .'

Williams told  Entertainment Tonight  that along with job opportunities pouring in by the boatload from the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers , NFL Films with some Broadcast  News of his own .

"As a matter of fact , Jack Nicholson had contracted one of my in-laws who happens to be in Columbus, Ohio,"  Williams said . "They're supposed to be making a movie in which Jack is playing opposite a disc jockey , which he would like me to portray in the movie ."

That's about AS Good As It Gets we'd say . A rep for Nicholson was unvailable for comment .

The former radio man's career was derailed by years of drugs and alcohol abuse  until a Columbus Dispatch reporter's viral video transformed him overnight this week into a Susan Boyle- style sensation.  And it's been a whirlwind ride ever since . Not only did he record four audio spots for Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and appear on  Late Night with Jimmy Fallon , but his newfound fame led to a happy reunion with his elderly mother , though it weas nearly delayed due to a  tug of war   between rival morning gabfests . The Today Show  and The Early Show both wanted the exclusive .

Oh yes : All we need now is for Donald Trump to get in the action . Good things happen to good people  ! Can't get any better than this , just hope Ted Williams can keep clean with all the temptations and his family stay by his side and help to keep him strong and on the right path.
