LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The late Michael Jackson will appear in the 25th anniversary remake of 'We Are The World'. Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones, who, along with Michael, masterminded the original version in 1985, said that the King of Pop's original vocals and footage would be used in the song and video. Michael will appear posthumously in a split-screen with sister Janet Jackson joining him.

But reports surfaced that Blanket, Michael's youngest son, was supposed to appear on stage but backed out at the last minute after becoming overwhelmed. However, a source close to the Grammys said that the gossip was fiction and Blanket was just fine.

'The song was recorded by Michael and myself. I produced it for him,' Lenny explained in a post on his TwitVid account page. 'I wrote the song and I played all the instruments on the track. It was one of the most amazing musical experiences that I've ever had.'
