My man's dad is a character...a very sweet and lovable character....he's semi-retired now,dad rather drive than fly,if possible....before dad retired...he had a chauffeur...I asked him why.....dad said once he was on a long stretch of road outside of "RENO" heading home to see his wife and son....he was alone and ran out off gas....he had to push the S.O.B f*****g car about two miles before he got a lift into the next town...(GIGGLES) now I know why he doesn't travel alone and also why dad won't drive anywhere without his cell-phone.
Dad's a real character. No wonder you love him.I love the picture.
ReplyDeleteBe back in a minute.
I'm trying to get Nana one of those 'Life Alert' thingys to wear around her neck because I'm getting scared to leave her alone. She 's not liking the idea but then she doesn't like the idea of a baby sitter.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is she is so damn independent.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have overcome your setbacks in garden placement and are proceeding well. How are kids and hubby?I guess you don't have to pack, you never unpacked,..HA.!!..
We spent a nice afternoon with Jason. He is Jane's youngest. He is in college and doing well.He and Brian don't get on too well because the kid is kind of nervous and talks a mile a minute. He has a lot of heart and I love him but he gives Brian a headache. He's crazy about his new car and can't think of enough places to drive to.If you live here you have to have a car in the winter.
ReplyDeleteLooks like I missed you again .I'm really sorry.Sometimes I just can't get to the computer early enough. All the best, luv ya....J
ReplyDeleteI am here...put babies to bed.
ReplyDeleteIf you go to your dashboard and look in the right hand corner, you'll see we have a follower.Click on it.
ReplyDeleteWell what did you think?
ReplyDeleteI guess gilly has a few teeth now.I just saw on the news there are a few confirmed cases of human swine flu in Canada. You have it in your country in a more widespread scattering. There is a pandemic in Mexico.People are dying there.
ReplyDeleteI am O.K. maybe Jason is nervous becaue he wanrs to impress Brian and not to sure how...Jason may also be a genius...tries to say all the right things...
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel about leaving Nana along...it's hard for Nana to depend on someone when she has been in control of her life.
Jeannie ...you will have to take the bull by the horns and do what you know is best for Nana... Nana will raised hell...thats nothing new..you have to be the boss now...when she get to rough..just haul ass.hahaha
Yes I seen it..we are coming up in the world..we have found our niche.HA!!
ReplyDeleteI can see me wrestling Nana to the ground to get the thingy around her neck. You're the same kind of independent type.I bet you could get her to wear it.
ReplyDeleteYou're spot on about Jason. That is exactly what he is trying to do.Impress Brian.
Jason is not a genius but both his older brothers are.I think that gives him a few problems trying to follow in their footsteps.
We haven't had any confirm cases here that I have heard...
ReplyDeleteGilly has 2 teeth at bottom he bites, they are not out completely.
Our follower has two sites...
If you click on it you go directly to her blog.
ReplyDeleteOh Nana would wear it just to get me from pestering her...I would talk sing and dance and wear earplugs..hahaha Nana and I would get along fine...
ReplyDeleteShe has 2 blogs..I went to one and left her a message...I had a follower thingy but I didn't know what color and where to put it...
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of part two of Daffodils I'll put it up tonight. It's funny how things come back to you like bright pictures when you start writing about them.
ReplyDeleteYes things do come back to you..it puts a smile on your face and a song in your heart...
ReplyDeleteI see the Canadian National Women's Hockey team won another gold.My cousin is on the team .They won gold at the last Olympics.
ReplyDeleteGolden Snitch is from down under.
ReplyDeleteWhats her name? I will have to check on our team...they was in the playoffs..tha Mudbugs..Gid and Dad love hockey.
ReplyDeleteMy set back was I will have to wait or put my garden some place else...where I wanted it is where the sewer/water lines coming in,so I will wait because thats where I want it...my trees are planted ..
ReplyDeleteWe just had a tornado here. We never get tornados.Damn this climate change.
ReplyDeleteThat's a piss-off not to get your garden in in the spring or,do you expect the pipelines to be in soon?
ReplyDeleteI don't know but I will have a fall garden...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you had tornadoes there,I got the last end of news report where the ice caps was melting really fast..not to far in the future ..N.Y.might be in water..I will try to catch it Tuesday on the history channel..that why our weather is like this.
ReplyDeleteSome scientists were doing research from 2005 til 2008..the ice is mealing faster than anyone realize.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have fall gardens up here. There aren't too many crops that will come to fruition twice in one season in Canada. One problem our country and your country are having is the disappearance of bees. Most crops require bees for pollination. They say one bite of food out of three is dependent on bees.We have to find out why they are dying away.
ReplyDeleteThe world will really starve without them.
Maybe the climate change is affecting the bees or more probably they are losing their habitats.People in British Columbia are building habitats for them wherever they are allowed to,especially on farms.
ReplyDeleteI can have greens..Emily was talking about the bees ..we buy fresh honey at a bee farm not far..the owner told her he didn't expect to have very much this year..since meeting you I have learned a lot about things I never gave a second thought .."THANKS"
ReplyDeleteGlobal warming is affecting everything that we depends on..there are so many people that don't believe we are in a crisis. What a shape to leave this world in for our kids/grandskids.
ReplyDeleteEverything grew so easily in Jersey, the island I came from. They used a special seaweed for fertilizer. The vegs and fruit were so juicy and delicious.
ReplyDeleteThey grow good produce here in Ontario too.
I believe the same thing. We are leaving a terrible mess for our kids to clean up.It may be too late by then.
ReplyDeleteI hope Gilly or Jill become involved in saving the planet.A lot of people are becoming environmental lawyers now .They hunt down industrial polluters, and represent people whose health has been hurt by industrial pollution.
ReplyDeleteShayne and his Boyscouts spent the weekend cleaning up a park and planting trees.
ReplyDeleteSammy spent the weekend playing hockey and his team won both games.Sammy scored a goal and an assist. He is so proud, but it is his dream to be a goalie.Jakey took his art lesson and loved it.He still has no talent though.
Sammy loves hockey...maybe he will become a goalie, tell him he needs a career to fall back on when he retire from hockey...Jakey loves drawing and you tell him what a great job he is doing...just like my writing...I love trying..maybe if I had started younger ,I would be better..(giggles) I like it just the same...expect great things from the twins...whatever choices they make and Jason will do fine.
ReplyDeleteShane is doing good things working with children..he will make a great doctor..all your kids/grands come from good stock..you can be so proud...
ReplyDeleteI agree Sammy needs another vocation. He wants to be a builder and make beautiful bridges dams and buildings.I guess he will be some kind of engineer.
ReplyDeletePeter leased our dock space for us when he was up at the lake. He's a good old boy.We may not be using it if I can't find some way to monitor Nana from up there.
ReplyDeleteHow is Sis?Still fighting off Dad's amorous advances or do you think they have already...?They'll never tell, you know.
Sammy is just 10 ..I remember you saying he wanted to build things,I am putting my money on him being an engineer...and a lady killer.hahaha
ReplyDeleteYou will have to get Nana a nurse if she wants one or not...or carry her up there with you...Nana is going to raise hell if she stay home or go to the lake..who knows she just may like it...you have to be the mom now...
ReplyDeleteGoing to call it a night Sweetie.I hope your new house will be blessed with a million wonderful memmories.Maybe Jill will be married in your garden.I have a picture of Jill in my mind.I wonder how close it is.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a peaceful and sweet sleep
Ever your friend ...J
By the way you are right Nana will raise hell whether we take her to the lake or leave her home so it don't make much difference....HA!
ReplyDeleteGil says he believe they have been an item from the start..I asked him why didn't he tell me bhe believe they was getting it on..he says it wasn't his business...
ReplyDeleteNo they are not going to tell,I will catch them...dad loves to tease her...
O.K. see you tomorrow..have a good one...goodnite...LOL...LOL..NEE
ReplyDeleteGil is good at keeping secrets. That's part of his job too.
ReplyDeleteI can't keep secrets. I just blurt everything I know. That's why you know everything about me...Night.
