NOW FOR A MORE SERIOUS APPROACH
Einstein's Theory of Relativity says that time travel is perfectly possible — if you're going forward. Finding a way to travel backwards requires breaking the speed of light, which so far seems impossible. And the enormous amount of energy it would take is as far beyond our technology as space travel is beyond an amoeba . However various physicists have various theories as to how it could be done....if it were possible.
