The New York Daily News hammered President Donald Trump with its Tuesday cover, suggesting that his refusal to publicly condemn Russian leader Vladimir Putin was treason.
During a news conference Monday in Helsinki, Finland, Trump would not blame Russia or Putin for interference in the 2016 U.S. election, saying “we’re all to blame” for poor relations between the two countries. U.S. intelligence and government officials have concluded that the Kremlin meddled in the 2016 presidential election.
So the New York Daily News reacted to Trump’s remarks with a brutal illustration and headline, accusing the president of siding with an enemy over his own country. The illustration alluded to a statement Trump made during his presidential campaign that he could shoot someone on New York’s Fifth Avenue and not lose voters.

Trump’s comments after his meeting with Putin sparked outrage Monday, with even Republican leaders and Fox News hosts slamming the president.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said, “No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant.” Fox Business host Neil Cavuto called Trump’s behavior “disgusting.”

ReplyDeleteWe have come to a pivotal point in our country's history. Will we the people (Lib/Con, Dem/Repub, old/young) allow a man elected by us, to deliberately be a traitor and destructive force to our freedoms and democracy? We must not allow infighting to stop us from seeing the long term ramifications of the words and actions of Trump and his administration.
He is a dividing force as we have never known and we must stand tall against treason and hate. Let's pull it together for ourselves, children and grandchildren. Stop fighting and demand Trump be removed. For some insane reason, Trump supporters only look at their 401K or love to cheer at a pep rally. They do not have the ability to see beyond today. They are selfish and do not consider that we are All Americans and will suffer together.How many times has he met with Putin alone?? In the oval office, in Helsinki - dissing our own government - praising a KGB murderer who eliminates opponents and shoots down airplanes . Trump suppoerters should go back to school, read history, see what Mussolini was like. Don't parrot others beliefs. Try and get a litle education of their own .Trump is guilty of 'Treason.' Violating emoluments laws. Lying (every day to differing degrees) to the American public. Creating international and well domestic chaos, including inciting violence and hate speech. Among other things that too numerous to mention.
Kudos to NY Times. They nailed it. Not only did Chump commit treason his VP Pence also was a traitor. None of the Chumpeteers will follow Chump off the American cliff to Putinville. The Chumpeteers care more about protecting Chump than the USA, very sad indeed .
Just my humble opinion.

Well as you know I call it as I see it ...The GOP came out of the closet and are showing their true hidden biases towards fascism, as Paul Ryan and McConnell fully support this sh*thole fascist president. Republicans scream " partisan" Russia investigation...Really Republicans ????
Which party is investigating tRUMP ...its the REPUBLICAN Party that is investigating tRUMP. Mueller, Comey, Sessions and Rosenstein...ALL Republicans.When tRUMP gave classified information to the Russians in his private meeting with them in the oval office, tRUMP said that was OK because as POTUS he can declare that is no longer classified information.

We should ALL be very concerned. Even those that are afraid of not backing the man. The ONLY reason I see that the Republicans wont get rid of him is because they don't want to loose control of the senate.
So they are willing to risk EVERYTHING...it just gets worse and worse.

ReplyDeleteMr T. back pedaled like crazy, today, trying to ameliorate his debacle of yesterday. His assistants wrote a speech for him today and probably had to force him to make it. One of the remarks he read from his notes was, "when I said I don’t see any reason why it would be Russia....what I meant to say was, 'I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia.' HUH??
He also assured American intelligence agencies that he has complete faith in them, when yesterday he implied he had no faith in their information at all. He does a '180' so often he's spinning in circles. He's a Putin puppet and commits treason every time he opens his mouth.
I am surprised there aren't more Republicans jumping ship today. They are a party of lemmings and I disagree with Humble...they will Follow Trump off that cliff. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely". That quote fits the Trumpeteers perfectly.
No one will impeach this guy BAW. They would lose their gravy train. And I don't think your country has charged a high government official with treason since Vice President Aaron Burr. I could be wrong on that one because that was around 1805/10. My American history is weak. I am going to look that up.
Goodnight; and I can't wait to see who your kids vote for....I figure it will be a black, Hispanic/oriental, Muslim woman who is passionate about climate change.
