I heard online that a shutdown could also cause the IRS to delay refund checks. I've put off filing my taxes while waiting for some paperwork. Now I've found I may not get a refund for awhile. Bring in someone who knows something about finances to fix these problems. Peter Orszag, former cabinet member (orszag.net) comes to mind.
