Rihanna: Going back to Brown after beating 'wrong'.

Rihanna said Thursday that she regrets going back to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after he left her bruised and battered during a February assault, warning other women facing domestic violence to not let themselves become blinded by love.
"It's completely normal to go back. You start lying to yourself," the 21-year-old singer said on "Good Morning America" in her first TV interview following the beating. "I'll say that to any young girl who is going through domestic violence: 'Don't react off of love.'"

Brown, 20, was arrested Feb. 8, hours after he was accused of beating Rihanna after the couple attended a pre-Grammy Awards party. He later pleaded guilty to felony assault and a judge ordered Brown and Rihanna to stay away from each other.
In the interview, Rihanna, who is no longer with Brown, said she was ashamed to go back to him after the attack. "That's embarrassing — that's the type of person I fell in love with. So far in love, so unconditional, that I went back," she said. "That's not what I want to teach people."

The attack occurred in Los Angeles' Hancock Park neighborhood as Brown drove a rented sports car. A Los Angeles police detective described a brutal attack in a search warrant affidavit filed in the case, stating Brown hit, choked and bit Rihanna and tried at one point to push her from the car. A photo of her bruised face was circulated on the Internet. In an interview with Glamour magazine, posted online Tuesday, she said about the leaked photo, "I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it's my life."
In her interview with "Good Morning America," Rihanna said she soon realized that, as a role model to young women, her returning to Brown sent the wrong message. "When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn't be held responsible for telling them, 'Go back,'" she said.
"I didn't realize how much of an impact I had on these girls' lives until that happened," she added. "It was a wake-up call for me, big time, especially when I took myself out of the situation."
Brown's career suffered after his arrest, with sponsors dropping him and radio stations refusing to play his music. Both he and Rihanna had to cancel several high-profile appearances, including planned performances at the Grammy Awards the day of the attack.
Brown has apologized to fans and has said he has repeatedly apologized to Rihanna for the attack.
In August, Brown said he was still in shock about his actions. He also revealed that he called his mother, who was a domestic violence victim, the night of the attack and broke down.
ABC will air more chunks of the interview on Friday's "Good Morning America" and then Friday evening on the news magazine "20/20." Brown also will recount his perspective in an interview to air Friday on MTV.
Rihanna's interview coincides with the debut of her new single, "Russian Roulette," from her upcoming album, "Rated R." It's her first CD since 2007's multiplatinum "Good Girl Gone Bad."
In Thursday's interview, Rihanna said, "I am strong. This happened to me. I didn't cause this. I didn't do it. If this can happen to me it can happen to anybody."

The Biggest Cruise Ship Ever Built
It's 20 stories high. It has seven neighborhoods, an ice rink, four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts and a small golf course. The outdoor amphitheater, modeled on one from ancient Greece, seats 750, while an indoor theater seats 1,300. This cruise ship is one for the records. It's the largest and most expensive ever built, and Royal Caribbean International is hoping that alone will make the Oasis of the Seas successful--a big wish considering the sagging economy.

The Associated Press reports that the ship is five times the size of the Titanic and is nearly 40 percent larger than the industry's next-biggest ship. It can accommodate 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew members. On its maiden voyage from the shipyard in Turku, Finland to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Oasis of the Seas had to pass an important test: Could it sail under the Great Belt bridge in Denmark? It did--barely. To do so, the behemoth ship had to lower its telescopic smokestacks, and even by doing that, it slipped under with just a two-foot gap. Whew!

Hundreds of people gathered on beaches to watch it sail by shortly after midnight.
The Oasis of the Seas cost $1.5 billion to build. It has 2,700 cabins, including loft cabins with floor to ceiling windows, as well as 1,600-square-foot luxury suites with balconies overlooking the sea or promenades. The ship's port home will be Port Everglades, Florida. I'd like to live aboard her permanently. Ahhh...a life of luxury...and the food is to die for. On the other hand it might be too much of a good thing. Where would you go for holidays?

President's Brother Speaks of Their Abusive Father

GUANGZHOU, China - US President Barack Obama's half-brother Mark Ndesandjo broke his silence on Wednesday and spoke of their abusive father at the launch of his first novel.Ndesandjo, who has lived in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen for seven years, said he wrote "Nairobi to Shenzhen" after a string of extraordinary events -- including his brother being elected president -- made him come to terms with his past.
"My father beat me. He beat my mother. You just do not do that," he told a press conference hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in South China and attended by representatives of the US Consul-General here.
"I remember in my house, I would hear the screams. I would hear my mum's pain. As a child, I could not protect her," he said as tears streamed down his face.
"I could not remember any good things about my father. My skin had become hard emotionally for so many years."

Obama's Kenyan father and American mother separated when Obama was just two and the president has spoken about the problems children face growing up with an absent father. Ndesandjo, son of Obama's late father and his third wife Ruth Nidesand, had been avoiding the media since his identity came to light during Obama's election campaign.He had not used the name "Obama" and had not even told his close acquaintances about his connection with the president until it was reported in the media. But the backdrop at his book launch Wednesday named him as "Mark Okoth Obama Ndesandjo".

Bearing a strong resemblance in facial features and voice to President Obama, Ndesandjo recalled scenes of the election night at Chicago's Grant Park which helped him come to terms with the many issues "I had shut out of my life, including the Obama name."
"I saw all the hope and joy in the people's eyes. I was so proud of my brother Barack. That peeled away the hardness I had felt for so many years."

Ndesandjo said his novel, which was originally meant to be his autobiography, was about a man who was forced to confront his early experiences in Kenya and the United States after arriving in China in the wake of the September 11 attacks.He said he would publish his second book, an autobiography, in the next few months.
"I want to tell my story, not have others tell it for me."

A graduate of Stanford and Brown universities, Ndesandjo said he left his hometown for China when he lost his job and did not know where his life was heading. He said he eventually decided to devote most of his time to music and service.He reportedly runs a business consultancy in Shenzhen helping to connect Chinese exporters with US buyers.

Harley Seyedin, president of American Chamber of Commerce in South China and host of the book launch, described Ndesandjo as a talented pianist, writer, artist, and businessman, and a long-time good friend of his.Ndesandjo said that 15 percent of the proceeds of his novel would go to helping disadvantaged and orphaned children in China and the rest of the world.

Asked if there was anything he would like to tell his brother ahead of Obama's first presidential visit to China in November 15, Ndesandjo, who speaks fluent Chinese, said: "I would encourage not only my brother President Obama, but also American people, (to understand) that China is about family. Family is always a recurrent theme here."

He sounds like a talented and intelligent man. I hope his book is successful. It's a credit to him that he tried to stay out of the limelight. He seems to be a proud man who doesn't want to take advantage of being the president's brother and trading on the name. Can you see the resemblance between the brothers?

Are you ready for this ? Jon Gosselin and Nadya Suleman will try to fall in love on a reality show. Jon made a big stink about taking his eight (8) kids off his family's popular TLC show,[Jon & Kate plus 8] apparently, the TV ban doesn't apply to himself. According to a former "Cheaters " producer Bobby Goldstein. Jon has agreed to star in a cheey new reality show in which he'll date Octoman Nadya Suleman, who called Jon "HOT" recently. Bobby Goldstein says Nayda had an insatiable desire to spend time with Jon and to put their two families together and I had the idea this could be a very entertaining fiasco.
The pilot , to be called Jon- Kate =Jon + Octomom . Goldstein , will follow Jon as he comtemplates hooking up with Octomom could really be like, Jon is raelly creeped out by the idea that if they got married, they'd have 22 kids.
Also creepy is the plotline for Nadya,33. She has such an obsession with Jon, 32, that she's already talking openly about the two of them getting married, the press release explains. It's so bad that they will finally meet. Octomom brood may start calling Jon "DADDY". If this doesn't make Jon lose it , then Octomom modeling her bikini body for him will.
With Jon's life in a downward spiral, it's shocking that he would sign for such a sensational project----especially when he's locked in a nasty divorce with estranged wife Kate,34, plus involved in a relational with Hailey Glassman,23. But Goldstein believes that Jon's quest for fame trumps all. I think that he will remain in the limelight , says Goldstein. "Notoriety" is a component that some human beings place a lot of value on.. But reps for both Jon and Nadya deny that any show was in the works. Jon may aslo need money. A divorce court judge ordered him to return $155,000 he drained from a joint bank account he shares with Kate. Jon said , he thought he was just taking his paycheck out...I'm gonna be truthful, I'll put it back. With less cash in his pocket , and his bread and butter [Jon & Kate Plus 8] is over, Jon is looking desperate and is willing to stoop to just about anything to feed his family. Even Glodstein knows the show is ridiculous--- but hopes it'll get good rating.
My take on this garbage : Why can't people get back to basics? We all know how this will turn out. Octomom has been plotting her shenanigans since day one how to get back at Kate Gosselin for not being a guest on her show. Maybe Hailey Glassman [ girlfriend] will get some taste and move on to men with class and hopefully single....Now the show: " It will be like watching a train wreck, you know you shouldn't look, but you can't turn your head.Stay tuned: Updates as they come in.

Whitney forced to sell New Jersey Home

NEW YORK, New York -- Whitney Houston has reportedly put her New Jersey home on the market.
The singer is offering the home, located in Menham, N.J., for $2.5 million, although it is worth $5.6 million, according to several reports. The asking price is $200,000 less than what Whitney paid for the home in 1987, according to NJ.com. According to the listing, the home features five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The home features "circular-themed interior spaces," according to the listing. It is located on just over 5 acres of land and is gated. Whitney married ex-husband Bobby Brown in the home, according to People.

The singer nearly lost the home in 2006, after failing to pay taxes over four tax periods, NJ.com reported. Whitney's mortgage company filed a lawsuit in 2006 against the singer, claiming she owed $1.04 million related to the property. The lawsuit was eventually resolved.
