A Flordia teenager whose uncontrollable hiccups once brought her worldwide attenrion was arrested and charged with murder, MyFoxTempaBay.com reports.
Jennifer Mee , 19, of St.Petersburg , Fla. , became well-known as the "hiccup girl" a few years ago - baffling doctors who tried numerous treatments to stop the hiccups that sometimes occurred 50 times per minute and caused her to miss school.
On Saturday , authorities arrested Mee and two others in the shooting death of 22-year-old Shannon Griffin , according to the station.
Police say Mee lured the victim to an area of St. Petersburg, where two men , Laron Raiford , 20, and Lamont Newton , 22 , tried to rob him.
After Griffin struggled with the suspects , he was shot multiple times , investigators say.
Sgr. T. A. Skinner of the St' Petersburg Police Department told reporters that Mee and the others admitted their envolvement . All three adults have been charged with first degree murder.
Mee was being held without bond early Monday . Pinelias County jail records did not show whether she has an attorney.
Update: It's been reported Jennifer Mee's hiccups has returned.
