I drew it several weeks ago (I colored it today so it would show better on the blog).Obviously, it was around the time of Vixen's arrest. We must have been discussing it. It is of interest because it shows how we felt at that time. We were feeling that she was very much the victim. Now that we know the depths of her deception and her past record, I wonder if we feel quite the same way.
I don't regret befriending her.She was alone,friendless,with nowhere to stay and she was being hunted and harassed.She was very troubled and I'm so glad she'll be receiving the treatment she needs.
I still like my depiction of Dodo.

I have often wondered after what we have learned just how sick she is...I think we held her together just a little...the killing spree,no telling what she would do if cornered...no regrets ,I think we gave her a little sunshine among all the storms.
She was hunted like a rabid dog.
ReplyDeleteI agree.You can see we felt quite strongly at the time of her arrest that she was kind of the victim.I don't feel quite so strong about it now.

ReplyDeleteI think our feeling were ,she was along,everyone bashing her..I knew who she was...I had no idea she had done all those things,we have a clear mind and can sleep at night.

ReplyDeleteShe didn't like talk of families.you are right. I think she should be treated for a couple of years to get to the bottom of her problems.If she was released sooner she would end up at the same place.

You didn't deceive him,there a difference..I never told Gil ..there is a difference in lying and not saying anything,we both knew in our hearts it wasn't going to be long.

When Jake was in grade one he invented pajama day.All the kids snd the teacher had to come to school in pajamas.The teacher thought it would be fun.
They still do it in the lower grades.
The weather report says sunny and warm on the weekend.I love it.Still too soon to plant though.

ReplyDeletePeter's brother Phil takes his boat up there sometimes so when we have a big family gathering up there we load up both boats and go down the other end of the lake to swim.what a lot of fun we had last year.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with phil .He's a great guy.He retired when he was around forty and lived on a yacht in Florida.He left someone in charge of his business and told them to send him a cheque once a month.
That's what I love about you..your family means everything to you..If they are happy you are happy.

ReplyDeleteNana used to come up there sometimes,but she's too old and sick now and she hates Peter.I'll be scared to leave her this summer.I think I'll get her one of those 'Life Alert' things to weaar around her neck.

ReplyDeletePhil has lost most of his money.Between a few bad gambles and the recession.He sold the yacht and moved back home when his dad died.He lives with his mom now.
ReplyDeleteHe still owns his laminating factory.It seems to be weathering the recession.
ReplyDeletePhil bought an old 1939 Packard ambulance and had it completely restored and turned the inside into a camper.He travelled all over North America in it for 6 or 8 months and then sold it on that classic car auction on TV.
ReplyDeletePhil is a smart guy...I think so many people lost their shirts ..one reason Gil told dad it was time to get out...I think dad still lost some..dad had put most of his money in trust funs for my babies...Gil invest his money very careful...Dad say Gil will squeeze a nickel until it cries..hahahaha
